Majestic Metro Downtown Houston's premiere special events space since 1990. It originally opened as the Ritz Theatrein 1926.

Aurora Picture ShowAurora Picture Show is a non-profit micro-cinema that presents artist-made, non-commercial film and video. It is dedicated to expanding the cinematic experience and promoting the understanding and appreciation of moving image art.

14 Pews 14 Pews is a 501(c)3 non-profit, art house located in in a 1924 church building in the Heights formerly occupied by Aurora Picture Show. The theatre provides regular screenings of indie films, alternative live performances, a reading and lecture series and sponsors an artist-in-residence program.

Landmark's River Oaks Theatre Houston's sole remaining vintage theatre (1939) that still operates as a cinema.
